Open Season

A novella and 4 stories
by Lucy Honig
ISBN: 0-9720287-2-2
List Price: $14.00 Web Special: $9.75

From the title novella the Seattle Times called a "knockout" to the evocative “The Menorah Girl”—the story of a young Brooklyn woman who carries a secret childhood love for her cousin into the streets on Paris—Open Season once again displays the love of language and the nuances of character that have brought Lucy Honig widespread praise.

LUCY HONIG'S first collection of stories, The Truly Needy and Other Stories (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1999) won the Drue Heinz Literary Prize. Her stories have appeared in DoubleTake, Ploughshares, Georgia Review, Witness, Glimmer Train, and other periodicals; two were selected for O. Henry Awards (1992 and 1996) and one for Best American Short Stories (1988). Honig currently teaches writing at Boston University.
